I was getting my NX opticoated today and the detailer pointed out that NX is wrapped in front and rear bumper in ppf.

i didnt do it and certainly didnt ask lexus for this. Looks like it comes wrapped from the factory. Can other people check if theirs came wrapped from lexus.

I've detailed my NX several times and have not noted anything unusual.

 

I've noticed what appeared to be a wrap on front and rear bumpers. (FSport). But couldn't figure it out, part of assembly line process i guess.
Just went to look again, and yes, there appears to be a wrap on there as the OP photo suggests.

Funny, the only spot on car which has paint scruff (16th of an inch) very small, is on the side front bumper where I think I may have touch the dryer in garage.
I used touch up paint with clear coat with very small touch brush, but could get the paint to stick very well. Wiped off dozen times and retried.
Now I realize I am dealing with plastic wrap, therefore difficult for touch up paint to work as designed. hmmmm

I had expel added to hood only 18 months ago ($800 private party). Serves me well, one minor rock chip unable to repair, but mostly unnoticeable.
