But seriously, I just looked in TIS at a 2016 NX w/Nav. I only see 1 speaker with 4 wires and it's tied into the Telematics transceiver. There's also a footnote mentioning "w/ LEXUS ENFORM, w/ Safety Connect". So I bet it's the speaker used for the Safety Connect system and Destination Assist.

I'm planning on adding an amplifier and omitting the additional terminations that don't lead back to the factory amp.

what is pictured is the tweeter ; there are 2 wire comming from the head unit and 2 others wires that go to the front door speaker ...

 

Actually, in my case (2015 nx200t without Navigation(USA)) this is NOT true. After further investigation I've found that the door speakers only have 2 wires and they go to the rear quarter factory amp. At the Dash the factory Mid-Tweet speaker 4 wires, 2 go back to the factory amp the other two wires measure no Ohm load consistent with a inductive speaker therefore it has no tie into the doors speakers. I believe the previous reply was correct, its part of the Navigation or Help assist which worked out great for me since I'm not utilizing that.
