Is it even available option? NX is entry point to Lexus vehicles, they cut corners designing it.
Yes, but not in North America. I have seen pictures of Teaholic's and his has the folding mirrors. I think they really "decontented" it here in North America to keep the price point below the RX and also ensure it wasn't leaching sales from their most popular model (just my opinion of course)
As to the OP's question though, I have no idea if it is possible. It wouldn't surprise me if the necessary wiring harnesses are already there but I wouldn't know what kind of electronics might be required to activate them. It might be a big project if it is possible at all.

They all have folding mirrors, even in NA, just not power folding.

Nope. No corners cut.
It's just the North American market wouldn't pay for a fully loaded NX. Mine has pretty much everything including autofold mirrors, head up display, 360 camera etc.
However, it cost me over $60000 US.
Would you pay that much in the US?
Nope. Didn't think so.

That actually makes some sense in a disappointing way, but why don't they at least make the options available so if there are North American customers who are able or willing to buy those features they can? I suppose there are training concerns and distribution channel issues that might prevent Lexus from offering those options in unfavorable markets. Although those would be the same issues for countries where the options are available.

As I said it doesn't make sense for optional items. It all seems like they threat American consumer is less choosey then European.

I agree with this. The question becomes, how much does a car manufacturer want to invest in an option for a product line, which ultimately makes the price of the car to great to purchase or blends to much into another product line. The base model price is 35.3k and the most loaded one is about 50k. That is approximately a 42% price increase for the vehicle with all the options and no increase in HP. The net performance gain of the f-sport vs the base is mostly in how the driver feels, not so much in actual performance itself. The driving experience is really only a little more spirited, but dang it sure looks sweet! I think Tim the tool man Taylor would have to put some binford accessories on the NX to give it mo' pow'r!
The next question becomes who is your target audience and how much are they willing to spend on your product. Me personally, I believe this vehicle is a gateway vehicle for lexus, much like the CT. It's designed to get the attention of young people and bring them into the lexus brand and make them life time buyers. You aren't going to get a lot of 20 somethings or early 30 somethings to spend 50k+ on an SUV. As much as I'd love to have the folding mirrors and some of the other "cut corners", I agree with Lexus' idea of growing their brand by gaining loyal customers at a young age. A lot of the "cut corners" were nice to haves not need to haves IMO. If you look at the numbers, I bet you see more younger people buying the NX over the Q5 or X3, due to price point and styling, not that it lacks folding mirrors, 1080P back-up camera and the several other nice to haves. Just my $0.02 for what it's worth, which is absolutely nothing.....
