Two days ago with no warning, my nav map view converted to include the entire eastern part of the country. I can't zoom into my local area. When I click on the button to zoom in, I get the error message "no map data." My screen does show GPS in the upper left corner.
Has anyone else seen this? I know the map data is on an SD card in the console. The owner's manual says not to mess with the SD card or you may crash the entire nav system.
I can still put in addresses and get directions. There is some sort of map there too, but it does not look at all like the regular map. It's simpler, has a black background, and looks like it belongs to another nav system.

Id it were me I would turn the car off and then remove and replace the SD card. Then try again. If that doesn't fix it, off to the dealer you go!

I was hopeful and ordered a $30 used Lexus SD card that is the same part number I verified was compatible with my ct200h. Going to a dealer with the card to see how much they charge to unswitch that bit...
In the Lexus Navigation book around page 160 shows a screens for setting up map coverage look to make sure it is correct. If you have a PDF version of the Nav manual open the manual in Adobe then hit CTRL+F and insert "Select to display map coverage areas" then hit the right of forward arrow in the Find box that should bring you to the right part of the manual. Let me know if that helps.
