Default TRD Exhaust

So, this exhaust has been brought up before, but I was hoping to get a little more information on it.

I know this is a JDM exhaust, and is right now an option for the Japanese market. However, that's never stopped people from being able to import things.

So, is the exhaust just an axle back? If so, can anyone confirm that the fitment location and orientation is identical between the Japanese domestic model and the exported models to Canada/US? I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't be the same that far back on the car.

Also, when you get the TRD exhaust, does it fit into the factory rear diffusor?

Finally, does anyone know any vendor that is willing to import this?

If someone has some insight on this, I would greatly appreciate it.

I inquired to both places, so we shall see what they say. I figure 1 of 2 thigns is going to happen: 1. The placement of the downpipe and cats is different, thus it won't line up. 2. The mufflers and exhaust tips can't fit out the factory outlets.

We shall see though.

Speaking of Nigel, he got back to me with the following response:

"Sure, I can get the TRD NX200T Exhaust. The Exhaust is axle back. It is plug and play. the exhaust is designed to work with the TRD rear lip (quad tip exhaust). I am not sure if it will fit under stock bumper or do you need to modify it"

I will have to look into this rear lip. If its just a matter of swapping rear diffusors, this might not be bad, but it might require the entire clip to be replaced. I'm not sure.

Nigel, since I have your attention here, perhaps you can answer that question?

Otherwise, do you happen to have a real life picture of the tips? Any measurement on their size?

Do you happen to have a picture of the TRD diffusor beside the OEM diffusor so I can see the differences between them?

I didn't asked for pictures with the TRD body kit. I wanted pictures of the TRD exhaust with the OEM diffuser. Thanks

Sorry.
Can you speak with anyone on the Japanese side and inquire about this? If you could confirm the fitment of the exhaust into the US OEM bumper, there is a very large market available for you.

No one in Japan will change the exhaust without the body kit so far.
US OEM rear bumper is the same as the JDM OEM rear bumper.
But everyone add body kit / rear lip to match with the quad exhaust.
I will keep an eye on it, if anyone have that setup i will post it up.

By looking at those TRD quad exhaust installed picture and stock NX200T rear bumper + exhaust setup,
the position of the TRD quad exhaust is a little more toward to the centre of the bumper, I don't think the quad exhaust will fit under the stock rear bumper

If the Japanese rear bumper is the same as the US spec, there has to be SOMEONE that has done the swap to the TRD exhaust without swapping the clips.

Are you positive you can't find 1 example? I am hesitant to make the purchase (as I'm sure several on the forum are also) until I can see what it looks like with the OEM bumper.
