My nx 300h tire pressure warning indicator went on this morning, showing about 37 psi in all of my tires except for 24 psi in the rear tire on driver Side. The tires are Yokohama. I realize this is a really, really basic question, but is it safe to drive to the Lexus service center which is about 9 miles away?

It is possible that I may have driven over something on the road, but Everything seemed fine when I came home from errands around 2 pm yesterday afternoon.

 

Why not just put air in?

 

Because, sadly, I don't have an air pump. Also don't know how quickly it might deflate again.

 

It's possible that particular tire may not have been sealed as tightly as the others on tire mounting at the factory causing an ever-so-slow leak. In the interim, any chance of going to your local Walmart and getting an air compressor? They're inexpensive (20-40$) and very handy to have in these situations.

 

Or drive over to your gas station, as most have air pumps. Some are coin operated, but beats driving with low pressure.
