Default BOV for NX200T?

Just purchased a Lexus NX200T and would like to know if I should/could install a BOV?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

I thought it meant "Bank Of Valetta". Of course if I had that I might not be driving a Lexus.

I would think that if the engineers at Lexus felt it needed one that there would indeed be one.

Lol. Said no modded ever. Your comment made me smile. You do realize how it works right? Instead of going out the waste gate, it goes out the relief valve instead.

It's a component that is added for show.

Lol

Whatever the NX is equipped with. It must be plumbed to direct the burst back into the intake, instead of atmosphere. Under heavy acceleration. I haven't been able notice a dumping swoosh of any sort. Could be hindered by that artificial engine sound being pumped in.

I saw Apexi was designing a cat back system. It's going to be a fine line to walk modding this vehicle. Inline 4 cylinders tend to take on that ricey sound. The sound reserved for civics and other modded 4 cylinders.

Now I'm curious: what is a "ricey sound"? What is it that makes it "ricey"?

That fart can sound. The one heard on many civics. There of many modded civics, and other 4 cylinder cars modded correctly. Then there are others that will weld on a straight pipe and punch the catalytic converters out. Those are referred to as "ricers".

This vehicle looks too good to ruin it with cheapened exhaust note.

Here's a video from Trd. It looks pretty cool. I'd like to hear it under load. Not just sitting parked.

Is this available to import? The car should be the same exhaust manifold regardless of right hand or left hand drive.

I'm sure it can be had for a premium. In years past, I've noticed Jdm parts commanding quintuple what they'd sell for in the U.S. That $800 cat back system could cost upwards of $4 grand after securing one and shipping. I really like the color matched plastic fender cladding. Only available in Japan.
