Quote: OK fellas, I finally installed the iJDMtoy led bulbs (w/ built in resistor). It fits in the housing no problem depth-wise. These things are some serious honkers

All is fine so far, no hyperflashing. Not that I was expecting any. Looks great and very strong light emission

Worth the buy. See one of my earlier posts for the website link to the bulb
Ahh, that's some great news!

How is the light compared to the filament globes? Also, is the light very directional? I hope it can light up the entire reflector because I think it would look a bit strange if it looked like 2 dots from behind.

Are you able to snap a quick picture or video with these in action?

I don't think it's really directional. It does light up the entire reflector.

I will try to do a vid later

No pressure, but I am looking forward to the video, as well!

Could I request both a daytime and nighttime video?

did you do both front and back or just back lights?

The fronts are already LEDs—at least on mine (non-F sport/non-hybrid). However, I do have the upgraded DRLs.

Those of us with the base DRLs have a regular filament amber bulb in the DRL that is the turn signal. Also the entire "swoosh" DRL does not light up, only the flat bottom portion. The "hook" part does not light up

I was about to buy the bulbs from iJDM toy and I found a few other no resistor LEDs on eBay that may be cheaper for me to get.

Here is the original iJDM toy posted:
http://store.ijdmtoy.com/No-Resistor...0-02x-cree.htm

This one is cheapest one by iJDMtoy. Same company but different LEDs??
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/131263946459

And another one by iJDMtoy:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/131174313666

This last one only says it's compatible with VW so I'm not sure if it will work:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/121132898510

I'm likely to go for the first eBay one but do you think these will work?

EDIT: I just had a thought, is there no flasher relays in the NX? Wouldn't just replacing that be so much easier? No resistors?

Your previous posts have all kinds of links. Which one—specifically—did you order? When I say specifically, I mean, which link and which sized bulb (3.25" or 3.1")?

Thanks!

And it's the 7440 one - 3.1-inches.

The first one listed above is what I ordered and installed in the rear tails. No problems

You do not want to order the first 2 Ebay ones you listed, these have the separate decoder boxes that there is no room for anywhere. In the Ebay listings, if you look at the "Item specifics" it will say that it comes with "plug-n-play decoders", which are the black boxes that must be run in between the bulb and the plug coming from the car side. I have also seen these bulbs in person and they come with the boxes

If anything I would try the last listing, this one appears to maybe have a built-in decoder/resistor. Hard to tell.

Re: flasher relays, not sure where they are and why mess with those. I recommend just buying the bulbs I did and be done with it.

Good spot, I didn't see that.

I think the relay is a better option because it allows you to use any LED bulb. Also no resistors mean that you are saving power.

Anyway, I will probably get the same ones you got but they are so expensive to ship to Australia. Is anyone willing to send these to me from the US? If you can organise some cheaper postage for me?

Thanks, you guys!

I live in the Los Angeles area (where iJDMTOY is located). I may go visit them if they allow walk-ins, or order them—which usually means next day delivery from L.A.

Are you willing to send these to me through USPS? The bulbs are $100+ with shipping which makes it pretty unreasonable for me to get them.
