It's marketing at its best. In N. America, moonroof only is available. They call it "expansive" since it is a large moonroof. (Largest I've had on any car owned).

It pops outward at an angle when opened.
I'll try to post a pic later.
Thanks, I figured it was something like that. I still don't understand why Lexus can't implement a proper panoramic sunroof in most if not all of their vehicles? Is it still possible to get a "regular" sized moonroof, or are all of them that same size (included in the premium package)?
I'm not sure what is available and not available in N America, but here in Malaysia, we have two options. A regular moonroof (made of glass, tiltable, openable, with manually retractable sunshade) and something called a panoramic roof (Made of glass, non tiltable or openable, electrically operated sunshade).
This panoramic roof basically is the entire roof. Its HUGE!
In the US there is only one option, the smaller moonroof that tilts and open up by sliding up and back. There is no panoramic roof option at this time in the US. Others are speculating it maybe be a 2016 option, but that is just speculation for the US.
Ugh, I wish the panoramic roof was available here.
Who, in Japan, makes decisions to exclude the (insignificant) USA market on features as important as this? I'd like to understand this strategic piece of logic.
I guess this option must be priced as a loss leader ??

I don't get it either. It's been that way for years. The US has been shafted on some great options as well as cars that weren't offered here.
