In today's Chicago Tribune there was a column from Cars.com listing the top 20 fastest selling vehicles for January 2015. 15 of the top 20 were either SUV's or trucks. The list shows the average # of days it took to sell the vehicle from the day it arrives on the lot until the final papers are signed by the buyer.

The NX came in 7th place (tied with the Ford F150 and Nissan Murano). Nice showing!

Top spot was Subaru XV Crosstek (8 days).

Rounding out the top 20 were 4 vehicles at 17 days (Chevy Colorado, Hyundai Santa Fe, Range Rover Evoque and Subaru Impressa hatchback).

In some of our cases, delivery was almost literally off the truck.

January 2015 SUV sales,

NX=40th, not bad considering, dealers weren't dealing and supply was short. My dealer has no 300h's and can't say when they will.

Agreed. And it's virtually tied with the Q5, well ahead of the MKC, GLK, and X3. Only trailing the RDX, but I predict a tight race between the two in the next couple months onwards. Big shocker is X3 with a 50% drop in sales from Jan last year.

RDX: 3517
Q5: 2927
NX: 2812
MKC: 1602
XC60: 1517
GLK: 1398
X3: 1341

RX sales actually increased 17% despite concern of cannibalization by the NX.
RX: 6569

I was surprised at the X3's number too. I don't know where the current gen is in its life cycle, maybe a new gen is coming? But -50% wow.

I see the new, pricier, X5 sold 3,214 units +16.7%. Maybe it's taking sales from the X3.

The X3 for MY 2015 got a mid-cycle refresh so expect this gen to last at least two maybe three more years. Bad news for BMW. Must be the NX's fault
