Default Panoramic video monitor in action for NX

Another video, also from Taiwan -- the whole video is about the panoramic video monitor in action and this appears to be created by a Lexus sales rep from Taiwan.

Edit: Uh oh, just noticed, even though it says US prototype shown at the bottom of the brochure they spelled color as colour throughout - thinking this might be for Canada not US then? That means the HUD may not make it here after all?

Just wondering since none of the other documents showed the HUD as available in the US. I was hoping we would be able to get it. Oh well. . .

Default Bridgestone too - re: tires

Looks like Bridgestone will also supply tires for the NX, however it appears only for the 235/55/18 summer tires available on the F-Sport in the US only as I understand the 225/60/18s all-season are the only ones available in Canada (due to climate likely).

http://www.autosphere.ca/tirenews/20...x-bridgestone/

Bridgestone Dueler tires will be OE on Lexus NX.

Bridgestone announced that their Dueler H/L 33 tires will be original equipment on the new Lexus NX compact crossover SUV launched first in Japan, and then globally.

Engineered with low rolling resistance, the Dueler H/L 33 will play a key role in the vehicle’s ability to deliver handling, stability and fuel efficiency.

The NX will be shod with the following sizes in the specified markets:

225/60R18 100H (Japan, Europe, Australia, China)
235/55R18 100V (Japan, Europe, Australia, North America, South Korea)

Does this mean the F Sport only comes with summer tires in the USA?

Starting to really lean toward F-Sport over the 300h mostly due to the front grille.

So will both of the F Sport rims be available in USA? The ones above are the ones I like, but do they only come with the summer tires is the question?

Choosing F Sport over 300h a person gives up:
- cooled seats
- real leather seats

Anything else I'm missing option wise that you give up to get F Sport package?

I'm really frustrated about the lack of 300h F Sport ... Maybe a guy could order the grille and change them out along with rims however I'd imagine the grille with alternate LED fog lamps would be especially pricy.

Australian pricing and specs have been announced:

http://www.lexus.com.au/about/news/2...tion-advantage

Very competitive. To give a comparison, the X3 2.0d is 63k AUD base spec, and the Q5 base diesel is 63k AUD base spec.

Great to see that all the options will be available on the F Sport ie. leather, HUD, panoramic camera, Mark Levinson audio, ACC, LDW, PCS. Only missing panoramic sunroof from what I can tell.

If you go to the price of the Rx350 in Australia you find that the comparable NX is only about 72 to 76% of the price. If we could use those %'s in US the price would be too cheap; down in the CT200 price range. Who knows. Cannot wait till price do come out. How will the Canada price compare?

I see that on lexus au site, the list price for

CT 200H
$40k to $57k

RX 350
$75k to $85k

So NX 300h from $55k to $75k seems to fit just in the middle sweet spot.

When I looked it up the RX350 started at $85,000 and went to over $100,000 when you get the extra lux. I keyed in a mail code for Sydney and did the build yours out the door. The prices above included out the door with taxes, etc. Just information.

I use Sydney too, but I posted the list prices, not out the door. I think the NX 300H $55K to $75K are list prices right.. not out the door price.

Lexus Canada: Please note if you read this. If anyone noticed the specs from the e-brochure, there are some serious features missing in the F-Sport, even top-line Series 2.

http://www.lexus.ca/lexus/en/automobiles/nx
http://s3.amazonaws.com/lexus.site.t...09032014030646

Besides some unfortunate features missing as discussed in previous posts (i.e. Memory Package, sunroof, power rear hatch, heated steering, etc), there are some anomalies.

Missing:
- Garage door opener???
- Parking Assist w/RCTA
- Pre-Collision. (Should be bundled with the Dynamic Radar Cruise...)
- Blind-Spot Monitor ???
- 8 ft-lbs torque less (250 instead of 258)

I can only assume these must be a collection of oversights or typos. A 50K luxury CUV without a power rear door and sunroof is already a significant shortcoming. And no Garage Door Opener too now??? Hard to believe.

looking at the BMW Austrailia site:
BMW X1 28i xdrive - $65800
BMW X3 28i xdrive - $80800
BMW 328i - $75500
http://www.bmw.com.au/faces/jModelCo...1&tab=Pricing#

These all incl about $3300 of NSW taxes and fees

The following site in Austrailia has info too

http://www.motoring.com.au/news/medi...from-55k-44527

That means both NX powertrain variants could be priced from less than $60,000 and under the luxury car tax threshold, undercutting chief German rivals like the BMW X3 (from $60,900) and Australia's top-selling mid-size luxury SUV, the Audi Q5 (from $63,600).

"In terms of pricing I'd expect us to [start] somewhere around the $55,000 to $60,000 mark," said Hanley at the NX international launch this week.

"It's our desire to bring the hybrid in at the entry level. And there won't be a massive premium for the turbo. It won't be $5000 – it will be more like $2000."

I'm drooling over all the new tech inside NX. Around view camera looks really cool, it looks even better than BMW's. I hope Lexus will bring new stuff to other cars not just SUV. Nav screen looks bigger than my IS too.
