2015 nx longevity and how to get the max
Sorry, but get rid of it.
At 200k kms my 2015 NX 200t started costing big bucks.
2nd rear main seal leak. Chronic battery issues. Interior trim, front arm rest needing replacement. Lexus standard service increasing to 4 figures. Creaky sunroof (although problem across all Lexus tilt and slide moonroofs), Rotors needing replacement etc etc.
And yes, serviced by Lexus from new and had all the service bulletins like wastegate actuator done early on.

I have 106k happy miles on my 2020 NX.
I drive mostly highway miles, and I'm not an aggressive driver at all. Over the years I've decided "I'll get there when I get there", and when I'm in traffic, I don't get bent out of shape about it.

I'm of the old adage "it's almost always cheaper to repair than to replace". If I got $18k for my NX now I would spend another $18k buying the next used one (which will also last 7 years)
Or spend another hopefully $4000k on stuff that breaks and last me 7 more years.
Probably still get $6000 for the car at that point to put towards a new used one.
Did you do something to fix the creaky sunroof or prevent it? I assume something needs greasing and dried out
Take a look at carcarenut youtube channel, all the issues he sees with Lexus and Toyota have to do with the 10k mile oil change interval, he recommends a maximum of 5k and actually says to do 3-4k oil changes if you really want the car to last, because the turbo really cooks the oil. I have done 5k for the life of the engine, but am going to drop it to 4k now that i'm at 100k miles. I do a lot of towing with my car though.
I should get my oil results back this week and to be honest, I was going down this path not about saving money but about saving time. I thought hey if this oil is the bees knees let's just use it at further intervals. I've always changed the oil very early on all my cars since I was a teen for obvious reasons. I will check out the channel, thanks for the heads up
I forgot about editing my Post #14 and just decided to do a new one here.
If you want to stock up on OCI filters, there should be a Black Friday sale coming up and also one around Christmas time.
Here is the Part # and links to Bell (AZ), Treasure Coast (FL), and Prestige (NJ) Lexus Parts Dept, depending on where you live.
With Free Shipping and No Sales Tax for out-of-state customers it’s a no-brainer for us as our local sales tax is over 10%. I usually get cabin and engine air filters, wiper inserts, and whatever other OEM items needed during these sales.

Moonroof motor changed under warranty.
Problem comes back, however. Grease does nothing.
On my RCF moonroof rattled. Stripped and bolts tightened. Now creaking but out of warranty. Same problem on my CT.
My latest Lexus has no moonroof.

It took me a LONG time to accept the 'recommendation' to go 5k between oil change. All my life I've been doing them at 3k. Finally, I was convinced mainly because of the hype about "synthetic".
A couple of years later, I then read about some saying that the turbo is harder on the oil, and so, now I am back to my 3k interval.
Now, for me, it's a no-brainer:
1) Peace of mind.
2) Not expensive at all (I but the 6 1q jugs of Mobil-1 at COSTCO when it's on sale, usually about $33 for 6q). I buy the OEM filters in mail-order, perhaps 10-12 at a time, costing about $4/each.
3) I DO IT MYSELF, and I know it's getting done R I G H T. I let the oil drip, drip, drip from anywhere from 30m to 3h while I tend to other things at home.

Next step, oil change, diff and transfer case change as per carcarenut!
Oil analysis is good to track engine wear, but I wouldn't bet my engine on it, will they replace it if they were wrong and your engine dies early with extended oil changes, just as an example? Oil is cheap its only $25-30 for a jug of mobile 1 or whatever you like, just change it often its cheap insurance, especialy if you are chasing "longevity." I can tell by the smell and look of my oil that at 4-5k its time to change it. I may run my car a bit harder than you as its driven in Chicago traffic and only a few miles a day, this really beats up my oil.
