Default NX300 - Lexus Navigation

Hello team, my 1st post!

2020 Lexus NX300 base model, purchased 2 years ago used of course. Wife is wondering if Lexus navigation is available for it. Which means we've only used Apple Carplay or Android Auto Google Maps which works fine.

My curiosity is if Lexus Navigation is available for it. I'm thinking no, that the base models, unless correct package / option was selected on the order sheet won't have it, or won't be equipped for such. The other thing I've noticed in some videos is the "Map" button option, upper left, above the touch pad. Our touch pad has Home, Menu, then return icon buttons.

I was also reading about Lexus Enform and navigation, but once again I'm almost convinced that unless the vehicle was optioned with navigation from the factory, Google Maps it is.

What say anyone?

Thanks!

Hello
My thoughts are just like yours — since you don’t have the “Map” button where you described and where mine is also, that no, it’s not possible to add. So I did a quick search and saw this below ⬇️ — it is possible, just not through Lexus.

I have the navigation on my 2020 and it STINKS!

Typically, I just use the navigation on my phone, which is very conveniently, safely mounted.

Once in a while, I use the Android Auto to display the navigation from my phone, Google Maps, onto the screen.

Don't waste your money on the Lexus navigation !!!

Oh my that's interesting. Yeah, in our case, we can't get it - isn't standard on the base version, and wasn't ordered as an option. But thanks!

From what I have read a lot of people want to change to Apple Carplay or Android auto, not the other way around...

I'm assuming you meant change to Apple Carplay or Android Auto FROM the navigation that comes with the Lexus. Right?

I'd love to hear from someone who things the navigation that comes with the Lexus is better than either Apple or Android. I was so shocked to see how lousy it is. Well, no sweat because I HAD to take it anyway, in order to get the upgraded sound/speaker system, which I AM pleased with. I had no idea that I'd be so disappointed with the built-in navigation. Oh well, not a big deal because as I stated, for nav I use Google Maps on my phone and always have the option of displaying on the Lexus screen.
