Currently running dash cam with the plug in cable (cable hanging down from dash cam). It is Uniden and I am about to order hard-wiring kit. Has anyone done hardwiring and any useful tips. I need to check whether suitable point to connect electrically is on left or right side of car.
Any suggestions welcome.

I ordered a kit that plugged into the fuse box on the left side of the dash. The fuse size in the kit was not compatible to Lexus NX fuse sizes, so hardwiring would need for me to re-order, etc. So, be sure the item description says the right size fuse is included.

 

this this past weekend. This is my second Dongar product. My first dash cam was for my 13' GX. I love their plug and play option and design where it looks clean. NO cables running all over the place. The install is easy and not fiddling with the fuse. NO splicing, plug and play. The hard part that drove me up the wall was taking the plastic cover off behind rear view mirror. I like DONGAR vs Fitcamx design because its an easier upgrade the camera with Dongar if you choose to later.
