2016 NX 200t Pre-Collision System shut down cause?
I was driving with no vehicles or obstacles in front of me. I hit the gas pretty good and it feels like the turbo kicked in twice. On the 2nd shift, the Pre-Collision System shut off, reducing the engine power, and causing a flutter. PCS was set at 3 car lengths, but again nothing was in front of me. I shut off the engine, restarted the car and warnings were gone, running as normal. Lexus service performed diagnostics. They found no issues and no fault codes. Anyone know why the PCS shut off like that when in no danger of a collision…just punching the gas? Thank you.
Did you happen to have the built-in nav system working and and was it trying to re-calculate a route after you passed a waypoint?
I ask as I’ve found on my 2016 200t that too many recalculations while changing the route on the fly (such as missing an exit) seems to completely crash the computer, and the only fix is to turn the car off and back on (hard to do when driving on the freeway!!)
Did you notice if any other aspects of the Entune system were frozen?
