Found this random black cap on the driver side floor this morning. Anyone recognize it or know where it may have come loose from? Assuming it actually is from the car, guessing it came from either below the steering wheel/driver console area or from under the seat somewhere? Any help would be appreciated.

 

Interior retaining nut from under the dash or kick panel area.
Whether it’s worth breaking your back trying to look for where it should go, depends on whether you notice any new noises under there while driving.

 

It's the retainer nut that's right beside the dead pedal. See photo attached, circled in red.
