Program key fob to seat position
I recently purchased a 2024 Lexus NX 350h and have been having problem programming my key fob to remember the memory seat setting. I followed the instructions in the manual and watched a youtube video demonstrating the procedure. Both did not work for me. My dealer has also tried with no success and blames my lexus app. Has anyone had this problem and has been able to solve it?
Is the "Lexus App" an aftermarket product, or was it supplied by Lexus (and therefore should be covered by the warranty)?
I have a 2019 NX with this feature and, once the fobs are programmed, only works if the driver uses the "unlock" button on the fob to unlock the car before opening a door. If we instead unlock the doors by pulling on a door handle with the fob in our possession, the feature does not work.
As i interpret the somewhat-cryptic description in the owners manual, this is how the feature was designed to function, so "normal".
We have become accustomed to pressing one of the driver identification buttons on the driver's door while entering (just before closing the door), so do not miss the feature. It is fortunate that Lexus designed the system to function without turning on the vehicle.
