DIY not easy
Recently bought a used F Sport and have started doing maintenance on it.
1. Efforts at finding a Repair/Workshop manual have been unsuccessful. Anyone know of a source? Want something better than Haynes.
2. The urgent need is for torque specs. For most cars one can download full list of torque figures, but this does not appear to be available for Lexus/Toyota.
3. It would be good it there was a thread showing which Toyota part numbers (maybe RAV4 air filter, oil filter, brake pads fuel filter etc) apply to NX 200t. This could be a good reference point for any DIYers. I have bought some items from Lexus and found it cumbersome and expensive and will get from Toyota where possible.
4. Also looking for a scan tool. The one I have is too basic and need probably an intermediate capability one.
5. Not impressed with the hood closing (but understand it is aluminium). All other cars, drop it from 12 inches/300mm and done. My technique with NX200t is to drop and with both hands push down lightly as hood falls. Works well, but I will check how adjusting the rubber stops inwards affects the closing.
Any help and suggestions welcome.
Have a great day

Spend $25 for two day access and spend that time downloading PDF's. You will find all torque specs and proper repair procedures there.
The Ancel TD700 is an affordable code scanner designed for Toyota/Lexus vehicles. It can read ATF temps and release rear electric parking brake to change the pads.
If reading ATF temp to do your own drain/refill or flush, it takes a long time to establish communication, so better to change the ATF in cold weather so you don't miss the window in which to set the ATF level.

Hi Chuyrobles,
Thanks, good info re scan tool.
ATF drain and fill is on the cards. Have bought Toyota ATF. Car is pushing 90,000km (about 55,000miles), so need to do it soon, as it has not been done before. Don't agree with 'sealed for life' thinking. I know Toyota does not make ATF and other fluids and although there might be better (synthetic, Mobil, Valvoline?) transmission fluid, will go with the Toyota WS ATF. The Car Care Nut has a video on ATF change, using a jump lead on the diagnostic port to get dash lights to show the low and high temperatures window in which to do the change.........would prefer scan tool to show me this. Car Nut has some good videos on Toyota/Lexus maintenance.

Viktor G Automotive is another good, former Toyota certified, mechanic on youtube and I prefer him as a presenter but do watch Car Nut dude.
I replace WS ATF with Valvoline MaxLife. Though once, on sister’s NX200t, I used Idemitsu TLS-LV, which is WS formulated. It was a good price on amazon - $32 for a five-qt jug. It is typically $60 but I see it now for $40. I may get a couple.
