Default Water getting into Headlight

Hi Guys,

So I’ve encountered my first issue with my 2020 Lexus NX. It seems water is leaking into the passenger side headlight. I picked up the car from the dealer last week and today I gave it an exterior detail. I purchased an extended warranty (third party) so we’ll see if they cover the cost of a new headlight.

Had same problem on my 2018, after 3 years, noticed wetness inside just the drivers side headlight. Took it to Lexus a few days later but it dried up, so they didn’t do anything as far as investigate further. Manager said to take photos next time, then bring it in. Good thing I waited because both sides were leaking the next month.

Took car back with evidence, dealer got the go ahead to remove front bumper assembly to investigate the headlight assembly. They discovered cracks on the bottom, no other evidence of any damage due to collision or nefarious reason.

both replaced under warranty, cost would of been close to $5,000 Canadian.

I’m glad to hear that your headlights were covered under warranty.

I have to commend the Lexus dealership where I purchased my car. They replaced my headlight free of charge. My SUV’s 4 year comprehensive warranty had expired but since I purchased the vehicle and reported the issue within a week of purchase they showed good faith and took care of the bill.
