Default Side control panel went in after a kick???!!!

Hi guys,

I just created this account to post a question. I have a 2017 Lexus NX200t F-Sport. Last week, when I tried to get into my vehicle, I accidentally kicked the side control panel on the left of the steering wheel, which has buttons controlling my blind-spot monitors and trunk opener (see the red part in the image). The top panel just went inside the hole. I took the vehicle to my friend's auto shop yesterday. He tried to pry the blue part open but couldn't and scratched it badly.

How do I take it out? Thank you so much!

Next time, post your question to thousands of owners before visiting a mechanic unfamiliar with the vehicle .

Thank you so much!!!! My friend is a very experienced mechanic with Japanese vehicles, but he couldn't figure it out yesterday. Definitely a lesson learned!

Two more questions: can those buttons circled in blue be replaced as well? The mechanic said he would order some for me and have them replaced.
And would prying the side using
a nylon trim tool leave some scratches too?
I only have 30k miles on this car and would be disheartened by this blemish.

The lower left instrument panel must be removed and those switch blanks replaced from the rear side. View the video linked below to see how that panel can be removed.
I have removed my left and right dashboard end panel more than a dozen times. No scratches that I can see.
