Hi, I have a 2017 NX 300h with Mark Levinson. Compared to the IS250 with ML, I have a strange feeling about this system.

I feel like the music is only playing in the front, specifically from the dash, and I don't feel like I can hear the music behind me like in the IS250.

When I sit in the back, the music in the back plays, but the sound still comes more from the front. I set the settings to route the sound more to the back, but it still doesn't feel right. I'm quite disappointed. Any ideas or insights?

 

The audio systems on most of the newer Lexus models are very front biased. Supposedly to sound more like you're at a concert where the sound is coming from in front of you.

 

In the audio settings there is a surround option which is on by default. Once you turn this off the sound is much better and less front center biased
