I have a 2016 Lexus NX200T F sport, has anyone had any key fob issues ? I was driving on the highway for over 100 kms and then all of a sudden my dash started going off saying keyless fob has left the vehicle, which wasn’t the case since I was doing 120kmh and the keys were still in the cup holder.. I got home and instantly changed the battery with an energizer 2032 lithium battery, went on with my day and didn’t think about it again…. 3 days later and it has done the same thing, and has done it multiple times now

has anyone experienced this ?

is it a key fob problem or is it problem with the keyless entry system?

My ride is a 2016 NX200T and the odd times I get this message " Low Battery ", even thought the battery was changed like a few months ago. I've learned to ignore the message as it'll go for weeks before it shows up again. Never did it once not lock/unlock the doors or not start the car. In my previous life, the production line would suddenly stop for no apparent reason, while electricians ran around looking for the cause(s) and finding none. We'd restart the line and logged the downtime reason to "MEMs" - Mysterious Electronic Malfunctions.

Are you saying you would get a low battery in key fob warning ?

 

@2016LexusNX Yes, This message will show up in the display. Fob will be in my pocket and I'm in driver seat prior to starting engine with push button. Weird !

 

Yeah I am getting a key fob is not in vehicle warning and beeping noises while I am driving on the highway doing 75 miles an hour and it’s sitting in the cup holder

 

@2016LexusNX If interested pls check out threads on " Backup Camera......." phenomenon in the NX, GS and IS forums. My BuC episode couple of years ago was another one of these unexplained "happenings" i.e. my original view changed to one where it included a partial view of the license plate. Go to top of page " Threads " and in " search threads " type in subject you are interested in ".

 

Any update on this issue? Happened to me a couple times, fresh battery, then out of nowhere, car acts like the fob doesn’t exist.
After opening fob, removing battery and placing it back in, seemsto reset itself and work fine, for a while.

 

I went ahead and did a search on “key fob” that brought up a bunch of threads related to key fob issues.
