TPMS will no longer recalibrate
Hello,
I just replaced all four tires at Costco. As i was driving the car home, i noticed that the Tire Pressure screen showed --- for all four tires, however, i didn't have the Tire Pressure light on. I kept driving for some time to allow the car to start reading the pressure, but that didn't happen. I recalibrated TPMS by going into settings, did it a couple of times, and i still didn't get a reading. After all that, now for some reason i can no longer recalibrate when i go into settings, and everytime i turn on the car, the Tire Pressure light flashes a few times and stays on. I am still not getting a reading. Took the car to Costco and they told me only the dealer will know how to proceed. Has this happened to anyone before? I was thinking of unplugging the battery, leave it unplugged for 15 minutes, to reset the computer.

Also, I believe you need to recalibrate when the tires are cold. An ideal time is when you get into the car first thing in the morning, before you've driven the car that day. The tires need to also be set at their 'normal' pressure at that time.
That was my initial thought, and i asked Costco if the sensors were damaged in the process, they said no. I didn't get new sensors with the tires, at least not that I'm aware of.
That i actually didn't know. But now the car doesn't allow me to recalibrate. It did allow me initially, but now i can no longer do that. Any idea why that could be or how to reset the system so that it allows me to recalibrate?

Whatever you do, do not go to dealer. I had the same issue with a preowned l that I bought from an Acura dealer. Lexus dealership wanted to charge me $1400. Town Faire Tire replaced all the sensors for me for $140.
That's a good idea! Worst case scenario I'll just go to a tire shop and replace the sensors. Costco told me they would replace the sensors for free if i had a report from the dealer stating the sensors were damaged.
it just started to show by itself.. after the pressure starts showing, then i do the calibrate within the menu and select tire change.
I have 2 sets, original is summer and aftermarket alloys for winter, the winter tires, which are on now, have the Autel Mx tpms sensors, i had them cloned to my original sensors, so i dont need to keep reprogramming them every change. This setup works great no issues, except for the long wait for car to recognize after tire change, after a day or 2 it just starts showing up and then runs normally.

I added air in my wife's 2016 NX tires this weekend. When she was leaving for work. Her light flickered and came on solid. On the way home the light went out but now just has dashes. Not going to try a reset. it would be nice if it worked. But as long as the light stays off, I could care less.
I have been driving 55 years. Check my tires before trips and every couple of months and don't need it. I'm sure lots of people never pop the hood and check all fluids, look at battery post, remove the wheels and check brake wear or keep track of oil changes. Those people need it. I wont spend 300 to $400+ for a repair.
