Unhappy Driver side door mirror Broke off HELP

So right now my door window is taped to the side of my car. It got broken off and was hanging by the wiring. I have it taped back on and the electronics for the actual mirror still work, however some plastic piece broke off so the whole body of the driver side door mirror will not stay on. I dont know a lot about cars but It seem like it just doesn't snap back on to the side of my car correctly. Is this a fix I can do by replacing that part or will I have to pay a fortune to get this replaced? I already went to a mechanic and they quoted $1,600 and I just can not afford that.

Can anyone please help me.
Thanks
