How long will a water pump last when it is making a great deal of noise. Disabled on SSDI need to know before disaster arrives. Don't know when I'll have the money to replace the water pump. I want to take care of the the care but don't have the tools or the resources (tool's or muscle power) to do the job. Not asking for charity just a little help. Don't have the money right now but I will on the first of Dec.

from what I've heard, there isn't a real answer for it. it could go tomorrow, the next day or even a year from now. usually if its making a lot of noise, the bearings are going bad

Thanks for the info. I took the belt off and I know the bearing and because the shaft moves. Hopefully it last for a little longer

I would park the car. it would cost you more headaches if it does decide to go and money for tow. or blow your head gasket.

Unfortunately that is not an option. Due to the fact that it's our only car. All I can do is hope.
