Default Approx. how much for a speeding ticket going 10MPH over?

So I got my first speeding ticket going 45MPH in a 35MPH zone. How much do you think that ticket will be?

This is my first speeding ticket and I'll the pay the fine since I admit I was speeding and I really don't have time to go to court. Is it worth it to go to traffic school so I get no points on my license? Would this affect my insurance?

I'd say over $350. It's to your advantage to attend traffic school. (online is easy). If you attend you'll also stop from your insurance rates from going up.

I got caught doing 81 in a 65....go to court and politely ask the judge to reduce the fine and request traffic school. My fine was reduced from 450 to 225...

I know a cheaper solution. Drive the speedlimit.

if you have the time, go to court and ask for a fine reduction. you can still go to traffic school...

Couple years ago I got a ticket for going 82 in a 65 and it was $186. But that was before they raised prices for everything! It depends on traffic condition also. Igot mine 6AM on a sat morning going to my motorcycle saftey class. Go figure. I was so happy it was only $186 lol. I said really that's it?!

After getting a speeding ticket I learned my lesson of driving too fast. I was speeding to get around a car so i stepped on it. Nowadays it seems like everyone is going 80 in the fast lane.. Now I'm fine with going 65 in the slow lane. I get 3 more mpg and avoid anymore tickets.

I too use to have the heavy foot and would speed everywhere as well. After getting my share of speeding tickets I've learned to take it slow.

Remember there's nothing more funny than watching young kids speeding pass you, only for you to meet up at the next red light like maybe 2 sec later. Go slow, helps save gas, and keeps you out of trouble
