Recommendations for wheel repair (Curbed , bent rims)
I plan on taking my car to wheel techniques for some rim painting, lip repolish, and scratch repair on Sat 8/12/06. Can anyone tell me how can I get from Wheel Tech to Fremont bart? Or if any NorCalClublexus member can help me out I would gladly spring for gas and or lunch, I plan on being there between 1030-11am. Trying to get this done before EOS5.
Thx

Ever use www.511.org ? Great site.. sometimes when I take bart I take the 180 express bus that goes to Downtown SJ.. From there you might be able to catch one of the VTA trains that goes closer to Wheel techniques, and then you could catch a local bus.. That website will definitely help. Public transport in the south bay is a serious PITA... I wish they would extend BART in the near future..

Recommendations for wheel repair
So after wanting rims for a while, my great buddy Solo showed me some used JDM - Hot Stuff Corp, Stich rims at an awesome price. I couldn't pass them up so I went down to Memory Fab and picked them up. The rims weren't perfect three were bent, and all had some sort of curb rash. So through the recommendation of many here I went to wheel tech to refinish and paint the wheels flat black. I dropped off the rims and got them back in two weeks. Once I went to pick them up and brought them home two weren't quite perfect. So I took them back to have them retouched. The wheels sat another week at wheel tech and was told they were ready. Picked em up and well the issues were still there. So I talked to Jeff and he spot fixed one and the other i just let slide. I'm very **** most people probably wouldn't even notice what I did. Anyway Jeff told me if I wanted them redone I could bring them back I do have lifetime warranty. So I was anxious to get them on the car so I took them with me. The end result was four wheels painted flat black, repolished lips, and polished barrels. Below are befores and after.

Conclusion:
The price I paid for the repair and paint job was good thanks to the 20% BOS coupon. The service was ok, I wish they had not let my rims sit there the second time around, lot of wasted time there to me to just come back and find nothing had been done. Overall I'd give them an 8 out of 10 because the rims do look sick. I feel they could improve service a bit but you just have to patient with them and make sure you follow up. I also like the fact that I can always take the rims back to have the very minor issues fixed and if the paint ever did fail they would repair it under warranty. Thanks to Solo for hooking me up with David at Memory Fab (They have awesome Rims, new and used at great prices).

putzy thanks man. Your car is looking good, I like the wheels you got.
1NewLexIS300 yea I wish they did emphasize their customer service and communication more. Communication is key and something they just haven't nailed yet but yes I'm happy with the rims.
blaznsc4 you have a PM.

I'm not posting the price because it will vary by every rim type, size and number of pieces. I will tell you guys that I got a good deal and it is worth using your 20% coupon from EOS or BOS. pxrlex you got a pm.
