Default New Jersey Oil Changes

So where and how much you guys are paying for oil changes.....
I used to go to BigDaddys Oil/Car wash in north bergen would be $74 bucks full mobil1 synthetic, but im to low now to get into the bay so i got one in fairlawn on broadway for $105 no car wash.

Just wondering what are the spots you guys go too?

I DIY since I have a heated garage. This way, I know the job is done right.

My dad's friend own's a shop over on Route 27, in Somerset, I believe he charges $15-20 labor. If you bring your own oil. So a 5.1 quart jug of Mobil 1 at Walmart is $28, OEM Oil Filter is about $5 and then let's say $20 labor, put's you at about $53 for oil change.

Many shops don't make much money off oil changes and get annoyed if you bring your own oil - good to hear your dad's friend does not mind.

I just diy. I rather do it then have a shop do it. Ive learned my lesson years ago. I took my car to get an oil change and they forgot to tighten the filter and put oil in my car. I drove up the block and my light came on. I really didnt pay attention to it but something told me to stop and check. Come to find out they drained the oil but never filled it back up. Smh good thing there was no damage done. Every since then i do it myself along with other work. Also once the weather gets warmer im going to start to have garage meets at my house. Check out the NELOC section Im going to start posting up garage meets soon. If your interested we also have local meets and shows that we are going to host .
