I've tried several mechanics in the NYC ara but none have been satisfactory. With the latest one I get the car back with new problems every single time. Any recommendations for a good and reasonably charging mechanic would be greatly appreciated.

I personally use S&R Autobody in Richmond Hill, NY. They painted my MK4 supra as well as a few other MK4's and do great work.

 

dont kno what yur tryna fix but if its for the simple stuff shop around, maybe try a STRAUSS, or an AUTOZONE.
