This is not a Lexus meet. From what I've seen Mell (OP) is a pretty good dude but this is being presented as a Lexus meet when it's not. The 500 cars slated to show up for this started on a Honda Civic forum (B20 I believe) and is getting passed around to multiple forums.

First off, there is NO permit for this event whatsoever. That weekend is the Cinco de Mayo weekend celebration in Flushing and it's a HUGE Latin celebration. Traffic on the Van Wyck shuts down every year (I live 5 mins from the park) because they expect over a million visitors ot the park that day to celebrate. Those celebrations begin at 10am. This meet is scheduled for that afternoon.

There's no way this meet will go off as scheduled that weekend to where they will be able to get 500 cars even into the park much less take over an entire parking lot.

Mel, not trying to hate on your meet but there's no way I can't share more details when people are talking about setting up caravans to travel to this.

Ok good but its not my meet im only helping out and id like to see a few of you guys out there so thats why i posted it here. but i never said its a CLUBLEXUS MEET its just an all out car meet any make or model is welcomed as stated in the first page even on the title of this thread it clearly says BIG CAR MEET not BIG CLUB LEXUS MEET!!!. The big mexican party go's down on the other side of the park as i was told by the man who is putting this meet together.

No one is forced to attend this meet if you feel your at risk.
Its just an invite from me.
there are vendors also attending and will be selling goods.

Also you will need a permit if they are going to sell anything in the Park. Also I just check out several forums and the "LIST" majority are Honda guys going see link above.

As I asked who is putting on the meet, thanks for answer ohpapi.

Im not going in particular because of no permit since its a decently far drive for me as it is, I dont want to have to go to be told to leave. If I was closer I would still go but even though not all honda's are ricers, the bunch that are ruin it for all of them which is another reason. No disrespect to anyone or anything and I am glad a meet was set up, but If there is going to be bumper to bumper traffic which I do not doubt, it is not worth making the meet if there is no guarantee of it not getting broken up. Next time fellaz.

lmao, its all about contrast Mr. Euro

thats a whole lotta people in one place without a permit... not to mention all the other people that are going to be there already for the other festivities... this is gonna be a logistical nightmare.. a new location should be sought.

The parks department is very particular as to how many cars they would allow. Last year when I brought a permit, they would only guarantee 30 spots for me and denied me of the 70 spots I requested. With that being said, a permit for 500 cars is extremely unlikey.

Traditionally, multi-car meets can become diasterous. Head coordinators have no control of members from other forums, things can start getting out of hand quick. People will blast music, do donuts, and etc. Eventually, this will attract law enforcement and they will hand out tickets without hesitation. I remember one year, cops came with helicopters to shut down a mega meet at Jones Beach. Of course, no one had proper documention to hold a meet there. Just be wary for those who are planning to go out there.

500 car meet is quite a accomplishment but it does take a lot of careful planning to make sure that everyone plays it safe.

Good luck.

Yes you also forgot burnout contest like we had in the CLUB LEXUS MEET last year and there was NO PERMIT but cops let us all go with a warning.
