Does anybody know of a place in the New york, CT or Jrzy area that does wheel resurfacing for some chrome rims???

i wouldnt mind if someone threw the name of a reputable and proven wheel repair facility in here either. someone atleast semi-local to the NY area that will professionally repair bends/scratches, possibly re-polish/renew wheel lips, etc.

 

I had recently bent two wheels due to hitting a massive pothole on the Cross Bronx. After doing extensive research, I found a shop called Proformance Industries in New Rochelle, NY.

The owner of the shop, George, does an awesome job in straightening out rims, and you can tell the quality of his work, based on his own custom-built equipment, his spotless shop, and the fact that he doesn't shave off any metal to straighten the wheel.

They charge more than the other places that I looked into, including nyrimfix.com, Wheels America, etc, but I think the extra was worth it, due to his background in metallurgy, the fact that he brings the wheels back to 10 thousandths of an inch (I believe 20 thousandths of an inch is the acceptable standard), helpful attitude and explaining to me the exact processes he was performing, and not to mention that his shop straightens wheels for local Audi, BMW and other high-end car dealerships in the area. Highly recommended.

I have been using them for years.... lots of BMW's and Lexus's frequent the place. They are ALWAYS busy.

They do wheel fixing and send wheels out to be chromed.
