on myrtle ave & vanderbilt it was $4.29 for regular. but check this my sons mother called me today from baltimore and told me the gas stations had a sign up telling people to buy gas b4 5pm today b/c there wouldnt be any gas until next thursday. is this for real? she wanted to know if it was going on up here also.

 

that was supposedly a rumor around the dc baltimore metro area. everyone start panicking and lining up at the gas stations before 6pm.

 

people were def. panicking b/c she said the gas lines were backed up like crazy

 

I went to Andrews today and the line was crazy long. I'm about to get some gas now. Dizzam gas is insane. Man I'm about 2 start car pooling or something. This da type of gas that makes u wanna kill ur self.

 

my mom was telling me back in her day..i unno maybe like 30 something years ago that you could only buy gas on certain days anyone esle know if this is true??

 

Yes, it's true. During the gas shortages of the 1970's, you were allowed to fill up gas only on certain days based under which category you fell. I'm not exactly sure of the details, but you were given a letter, A or B, based on your license plate, and A could fill up on the days that B couldn't, and vice versa.
