What do you need help with?

I'd suggest some cardboard to make an outline, a sheet of metal, and some elbow grease.

I would first try going to Home Depot to see what they have in stock in terms of metal working tools. Home Depot is always fun .... Power tools

Another idea to find a sheet of metal big enough is to talk to a local metal shop or custom fabricator
And if that fails: http://www.mcmaster.com/

I would reccomend around an 1/8 inch but you may be able to go thinner if you have multiple mounting points to stabilize the sheet of metal. I'd also suggest aluminum alloy rather than steel. You will have an easier time cutting it.

If you haven't noticed, you can also purchase titanium from them too
