As posted in the GS section, I'm trying to organize an even that the majority of the East Coast can enjoy.
The venue will be held in Maryland @ Sandy Point Beach located right @ the foot of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge on Route 50 east. The exact date is TBA, but I will tell you that it will be between the weekends of July 28th to Aug 11th.
I trying to obtain firm committments from those who WILL attend. I would anticipate people from NY,NJ,VA,MD,Wash DC,NC,OH,WVA & more to attend, as the driving distance is very resonable from the furthest point.
As far as Sandy Point is concerned, it is a very clean location with smooth roads. for those of you who enjoy water sports, there is a launching dock for you to utilize jet skiis, boats, etc. if you have them.
I will attempt to reserve a section of the parking lot to hold our vehicles where they can be "shown off" & everyone can shoot the $h*! about whatever. During the afternoon, there will also be some picnic tables where we can cook on a grill, play volley ball, etc.
Of course, for those of you who want to lay out & enjoy the sun, you can do that as well.
In the evening, we'll cap off the day by going across the bridge to Kent Narrows where we can we enjoy the finest in seafood.
How does all of this sounds to you guys & gals. Oh.......I encourage you to bring your significant other to promote a healthy family environment.

We're going to put the Sandy Point event on ice for now. In it's place, we are having a Lexus gathering at the Maryland International Raceway in Buds Creek, Maryland. This will be @ an import event taking place during the July 21, 22nd weekend.
Swift Racing will also be debuting their in-house made silent centrifigal supercharger unit.
We will schedule a gathering place TBA where all Lexus drivers, club members, etc. will meet & we will all drive into the complex together.
We will revisit the Sandy Point gathering at a later time, as there was strong response & the day had some activities planned.

I'll be heading down that Saturday so that I can leave for the show early Sunday. The thing with MIR is if you plan on showing, you need to get there no later than 9am. The show field is small and if you arrive late, there is a good chance of getting shut-out of the show field. Remember, it's about an hour south of DC. I'll be heading down with the SRT crowd and some of the other IS's I've met in the DC area.

MIR
The NIRA event at MIR will be the 21st and 22nd. Several DC area IS's will be attending. I believe they will meet somewhere in northern VA in the Fairfax area .... to be determined next week. The drive is a little over an hour from there so the meet time will be early.
