For Trade '99 BMW 540 66k miles
Looking for a GS400/430. 2nd owner - car spent first 6 years in Florida. Can only upload 1 pic (I like the rear end on the 540) if there is interest I'll upload a bunch to my concast website and link it.
Beautiful Oxford Green 1999 BMW 540i automatic with Sport Package. Low miles (66K). I am the 2nd owner, the first owner was in Florida where the car remained for the its first 6 years. The sport package includes 17 inch staggered wheels, shadowline trim (instead of the chrome), 3 spoke steering wheel, sport tuned rear differential, lowered sport suspension. The 540 is a BLAST to drive. The car runs and sounds excellent. The steptronic shifter is fun. I am selling this car to get a Lexus GS430.
$17,500 OBO
Good:
282 Horsepower/ 324 Ib ft torque the 540 is a BEAST on the highway
Incredible handling and feedback
When I bought the car 3 months ago I replaced the following:
o Front control arms & bushings
o Rear tires
o Battery
o Mass air flow sensor
o Radiator Expansion tank
o Oxygen sensors
o Valve cover gaskets
o Mobile One Synthetic 0w40 oil change
o BMW all weather rubber floormats
o Brake fluid flush
o Coolant flush
o Fuel filter
o Spark plugs
Super comfortable on long trips
Tons of safety options
6 disc CD changer
Interior is perfect
Exterior is almost perfect (few minor things see below)
DSC (dynamic stability control) can correct for minor driver error or weather conditions
Minor imperfections (I am very picky):
Very small oil leak havent been able to track it down, may be left over oil from where the valve cover gaskets were leaking not significant havent had to add any oil
There is a small gap ½ inch from a fender bender on the passenger side bumper nearly impossible to notice unless you perform a close inspection.
Few small scratches on passenger window and pillar above passenger window
Plastic headlight covers are foggy and can either be replaced $80 on ebay or sanded with some wet paper sandpaper and polished with plastic polish (havent had the time to do this)
