Odds of fighting off this speeding ticket?

So I got my first ticket, ever... after driving for almost 10 years. Anyway, I was clocked going 22 over the limit (45) this morning on the BQE. I was on my way to my shift at the hospital when there was little traffic. Anyway, the ticket said 67mph, but I don't think it's correct since he clocked me right at a turn where I always slow down. But ultimately, it's their word against mine.
As it stands, besides the fine and all, it's going to be 6 points. As a first time violator, with no previous moving/parking violations, what is the best I can do in terms of reducing the damage?
This is an expensive lesson learned, but I REALLY want to cut back on the loss. My dad has had this situation before and had a lawyer. Any other suggestions???
Thanks!!!

Going to do a bump on this thread.
So my hearing has been postponed for the 2nd time. I was told to pay a $40 bond for the time being. Since the hearing is postponed till July 2013, is there any I can to for now?
I recently took a defensive driving course. Any our courses while I have a lot of free time in the spring/summer?
Thanks!

Fighting and beating highway cops is nearly impossible.....they are mightier than god.....
NYC and Suffolk is a no plea bargain counties....so that means its all or nothing.
Your only hope is that the cop doesnt show or get off on a technicality....
I have learned my lesson the hard way. 76 in a 50 on Grand Central near LaGuardia.....
