VA BEACH SHOW. May 15th
A local team has decided to take the intiative and start a show in VA Beach. Im hoping this could be something that NELOC could support and maybe a way for the Northern guys and the Southern guys to meet on a regular basis if this show gets off the ground. I will post updates as they come to me. Anyone interested in registering please email me and Ill get the forms fowarded to you to do so. Hopefully this works out for Sumospeed to keep doing this annually since HIN went bankrupt.
As some of you know I have been working with Bwell planning a spring meet for 2010. It went from being just a meet to a meet/show and will also be our show for the year like we usually have. PS: just a suggestion--> you may want to consider lowering the registration/spectator fees. $35 pre-reg and $50 day of show is a CONSIDERABLE amount.....and IMO will severely limit the entries.
And, with a $10/$15 spectator fee, unless the bikini contest is sans-bikini I don't think they'll be many spectators.
I'm just basing this opinion off the area....not a huge HIN-type area
edit: just realized there's a cash prize....I guess people may think that may help offset reg. fees, but still.

yeah the entry fee is considerably high and the entry fee is a bit steep. imho also.
that being said this is a local car club doing this with really no big company backing at this time (7 cities has priority toyota backing them) and i bet that the va beach convention center is not a cheap venue to rent.
im sure that they are pricing the fees to offset the money they are putting out to host this show and nothing else. if they end up geting backing and this does take off. im sure we will all see a price drop in fees.

Yeah you can crash here. I can support 1 more NELOC member on the downstairs sofa. Unless people are willing to crash on the floors your more than welcome to come over. I only have room for 2 cars in the driveway tho. My house is small.

Thanks for the support guys. I really hope we can do a big showing there. I know its 5 months in advance and things change last minute for all of us.
Once time comes closers and we can have CONFIRMED numbers Ill take to the people holding the event to have a special area for all of NELOC & friends that come.
Again many thanks and I hope this ends up successful to be an annual thing for us.
Ps. This will not conflict with our yearly meet at Carlisle S&P.
Carlisle is the weekend before on May 8th & 9th. So that means two weekends in a row of the Neloc family getting together. lol =)

Hello everyone,
I am the main organizer for this event. Joe is spot on, the venue is quite pricey and we dotn have any backing aside from sponsors we can pick up. i figured $35.00 isnt too bad if you already know you are coming to show anyway. This is our first large scale show we are putting on in a high quality venue. We have previously put on three shows in the area and ours steer away from the "ricer" themed cars you often see at HIN or other large shows. We are hoping for a large turn out like we have had at our other events and hope to see all of you out. For any additional info or registration information please feel free to PM me or shoot me an email at auto240s14@yahoo.com
thank you for the interest in our event,
Nick
