VA BEACH SHOW. May 15th
Wanna caravan with us that are leaving out of Raleigh to va beach?
For you traffic buffs heading down,, little advice since ULTRA did not supply it for you (LOL!!)
I-95, especially on a friday, is gonna be the normal CRAZY!!!! Backups WILL start at the "Mixing Bowl" (I-395, 495, 95) and pretty much stretch all the way down into Fredericksburg (exit 130). Best chances of slipping thru there with MINIMAL intrusion is gonna be between the hours of 10am and 2 pm. Rush hour starts early down there on Friday; normally around 3 pm and it WILL last past 8 pm. After 8, traffic will have died down some, but still be prepared to sit in traffic.
I-64 Eastbound,,,pretty much smooth sailing thru there until you hit the Hamptons. Traffic starts to get crazy down there around 3:30/4 pm, however it will be cake compared to I-95.
Best advice I can give is to leave early on friday so you canplan to be in the areas I listed somewhat in the time frame. Other than that,,, leave later and avoid the mess,, however you will be doing some late night driving. Alternate routes will probably be a good idea all together if you get caught in the mess, so have a backup plan in place; just in case.
