Hey Rob, I am actually going to pick up the Tanabe from Jimmy so I will be in that area!
Where do I order gaskets from and what spec do I need for the 2nd Gen IS?
The problem with doing the install in Philly is that I will need to haul my OEM axle back in my car, which is not really feasible without damaging my interior a bit. But if you have some tools where I can chop the piping up then I can fit it in my trunk?
I have my tools in my car which is in the shop at this moment, but once I get the car back I can help you out. I have a jack, stands and live in the Edison area... Just let me know if you can wait about a week

I have a place for the trash. You need to get a hold of Tanabe for some gaskets.

Alright I just hit up Tanabe, the main pipe gasket uses the OEM peice so I guess I will keep using my OEM piece... but I did order the gasket for the side pipe for the other muffler.
I guess I have to throw out my Stock Exhaust then huh lol.
Edit:
Actually if I don't take the Tanabe apart, I wouldn't need the gasket for that part right? But then I can't carry it in the car cuz it wont fit. Do you live close to Jimmy Rob? If I can get the whole thing to your place without taking it apart then I will have to call Tanabe again really quick to return the gasket, they charge a lot for that thing lol

Your stock exhaust we can put in big trashbags . And lay them down in the back seat. I'm actually going to Jimmy's tonight to pick up the Neck pillows
I have to use the OEM gasket for the main pipe so I am thinking about using my current one instead.
And If I can get the whole Tanabe to your place or give me a hand at Jimmy's then I don't have to get the Gasket for the side pipe as well. I just paid 20 bucks for that small piece
Plus I don't think we even need a lift, I can just back my car on the sidewalk or something to lift it up.
Lastly, I really wish there is a way for me to chop the piping up and stick it in the trunk, I really don't want my mom to see it since she is against me spending money on unnecessary things lol.

if you want you can leave your oem exhaust in my garage . spray the bolts down with some liquid wrench the night before. makes it easier to get the old exhaust off
Okay, this is the only documented example of how the OEM can fit inside the car... minus the fact that mine is rusty and my interior + ceiling is cashmere.
Can I really do that Rob? Wow you are the man, now I just need to figure out how to get either the Tanabe to your place or the stockies to your place. If I can find a shop near by to chop it up real quick then I can save you the trouble and space as well.
If it indeed comes down to that, I can move it our of your garage around the 22nd since my friend will go home from college and I can stash it at his place for a bit too.
