Default Laptop repair places in queens

I have this HP laptop here that needs to be repaired. The part where the screen pivots seems to be broken, but I'm not sure what the problem is with it. I was wondering if anyone here does laptop repairs or knows a reputable place is queens (contact numbers please) where I can go to get it fixed.

Thanks!

Is it the hinges where the monitor opens and closes on? Depending on the model try taking the case off and inspect it. You may be able to find parts on HP website.

If it was data recovery I couldve helped you out.

I'm not either but I bit the bullet and took out my harddrive when it crashed, and recovered my data.

I think there maybe a spot in LIC but not too sure. Do a search on yahoo and call different places. How old is your laptop?

There's places by me all along roosevelt but after a bad experience with data recovery, I am not sure if I trust these places. looking for another place in a different area. He said the whole drive was going but the tech at work had everything back in under 10 minutes. craziness

I wouldn't trust any of the spots on Roosevelt! The reason I asked how old the laptop is because I had an old HP laptop laying around somewhere and maybe I couldve gave it to you for parts, but the one I have is from 03-04.

sometimes the hinges are very delicate and not easily replaceable if at all.

it has happened to me before on old dells. i would take it apart and take a look inside. you may be able to reinforce it.

i just put my laptop against the wall so that the wall would hold it up.
im guessing you probably did not want to hear that.. lol

i dont have a problem with that. its my gf that is scared that the screen is like going to fly right off. the screen can hold itself up on its own, but wobbles if it is like betweeen 35 and 55 degrees tilted

FUBAR? "f--ked up beyond all repair" I'm surprised they even used that term. I just did a search on yahoo to find out what the hell it meant. lol

Sorry to hear it dude. Try calling the manufacturer support or check their web site if they have any parts or fixes/recalls etc.

Off topic: Are you around the Northern Blvd & the 100s in Corona/E.Elmhurst area? I see a blk/blk gs430 w/ a spoiler everytime I'm around there. I'm in the crystal parchment pearl (offwhite) gs3 with Georgia tags.
