Default To Carlisle Veterans...

Ok being a Carlisle virgin...well for the NELOC event anyway... I had a few questions;

1. whats allowed on the grounds? can i bring a cooler with food and beverages? (water, sandwiches etc?)

2. chairs i assume are permitted

3. how bout a portable gas grill?

4. will we be preppin the cars at the hotel or at the event site and if at the event I assume I can bring my detailer tote on the grounds?

5. can or has someone already put together a MUST HAVE "toolkit" for this event so some of us newbies are prepared?

I am sure there will be more questions as we get closer but i am preparing now setting things aside to make sure i dont forget stuff like I usually do.

Thanks in advance.

Hey Mark,

To answer you questions:

1. Bringing drinks is fine. They don't search you or anything like that.

2. Yes chairs are permitted.

3. Portable grills are not allowed. It's more of a public safety thing.

4. We all prepped are cars before leaving our respective areas then again once we arrived in the fairgrounds.

5. No one that comes to mind last year had a MUST HAVE Toolkit. Feel free to take the lead on that, as it truly is a must.

I would bring some detailing supplies, ie car wash soap, wax, wheel cleaner, detail rags, etc. People on hand will also have stuff and they provided glass cleaner, soap, and tire shine last year not sure if they will do that again.

I will create a new thread once a few more people have responded titled Carlisle Toolkit and add to it with suggestions I receive.

I would also think of bringing some tools, for example some socket wrenches, gear wrench, sockets, etc. Just in case you have some need to take something off replace something as well. Also some vaccum hoses, clamps, screws all sorts of sizes. Also fix a flat or spare tire as stated by Ali or tire plug. I have a long list
