Default DC Area-Need Rim Scuffs Fixed

Hi - Anyone in the DC area do (or know someone) who can fix very minor rim scuffs (or instruct me how to do)? I have a 2004 SC430 Pebble Beach Edition(Azure/light blue) with stock rims with the blue (matching body) pie-plates changed out for silver 5 spoke centers. Not sure about matching the light blue silver rims involved in fixing minor scuff. Wheels are 18" alumium alloy.
reply on forum or privately thru forum. Thanks,
Rustito (BTW - I live in Bethesda, MD)

Welcome to NELOC. I think I saw your car a Len Stoler Lexus a few weeks ago. There's a place called Wheel Worx out in/near Glen Burnie that does really good work, but I don't know if they can repair painted wheels though.

Hey - Thanks for ref in Glen Burnie - will check out Monday. As far as Len Stoler Lexus - wasn't me but maybe you saw another SC 04 Pebble Beach? (Would be great-amazing- to connect with another 04 PB in the DC area - that would almost be considered a PB rally (LOL)! In bright light the Azure Blue of the 04 PB can look very silver - you might have seen a silver?

I've been checking out DC activities - suggestions of anything where there would be SCs (along with the others)?!! I'm relatively new to Lexus, got my SC430 PB in January. Finally top-down time!!

Hmmm the SC I saw was the same color with matched wheels. Is that an option for SCs. A lot in MD meet up on the regular during meet/show season. We have 2 upcoming meets in April, one in White Marsh MD on the 5th and an install meet on the 12th. Be sure to check out the threads for both or reference the NELOC Meets thread that is stickied at the top of the NELOC forum. Hope to see you around.

We have members with SCs, and everything else Lexus, so if you're looking to come meet other Lexus enthusiasts NELOC is the place for you.

Rustito,

First, welcome to NELOC!

Second, another SC430 owner...yee haw!

Let us know what your results are for your wheel scuffs. My rims are "not quite factory fresh" anymore so, if you find someone good, please post it here.

Thanks Habious for the welcome! Someone local on the forum recommended Wheel Refinishers in Rockville - www.wheelrefinisher.com. Plan to call them and might go in for estimate - see what they say.

Welcome to Neloc

www.wheelrefinisher.com.

Is a great place. I have my rims repaired there at least 3x already and a few others on this board. They have a paint booth and repaint the wheels as part of thier price. I usually go to the one in Annapolis but I know they have expanded to Mont. County. But they usually charge $150.00 a wheel for refurbishment. DC potholes has done damage on my wheels and they always make them new. Good Luck.

Hey Nate - Thanks for the info - cost etc. Sounds reasonable and glad to have more positive feedback on these people. I am closest to the Rockville shop so will go there.
