A small update
Well everyone knows my sc hasnt been running since the little unplanned swimming event. When I was shopping around for a new car I didnt plan on keeping the sc, but when I got an avalon I felt that i still needed a sports car to have fun with. Well maybe a week or two after getting the avalon I heard gazi had a running 1uz for sale. Didnt plan on getting the car back on the road so quick (wanted it to be my summer car), but the price I couldnt pass up. Engine was located in MD. During the weekend of the hawk's nest trip I went to MD to check it out. Engine looked good and i bought it. As we are heading back to my cousin's house with the engine in the back a friend of mine called. He said instead of buying another engine, how about we rebuild the one in the car ourselves. I thought it was an interesting idea, but I already had the other engine. I didnt want to swap this engine in, rebuild the other, and then swap them again. So When I got home and started pricing the cost of the parts I would replace and saw that the whole thing wasnt that expensive I decided to rebuild the new engine. Everyone was against the idea of me taking a working engine and with no experience attempt to rebuild it. At first I wasnt sure if I should do it either. The more I researched the more doable it seemed. During the process we decided to take alot of pictures of everything for reference. Along the way we decided we should create a website for some of these pics so we can tell the story.
Well folks this is the website
http://1uzfe.ourfunprojects.com/
Its still a work in progress (the engine). Some of you knew about this and the old website we were using. That free host was slow and they added a lot of ads to the content.

Oh i thought about this.....alot. But when its all said and done with the space constraints and the amount of custom fabrication needed its going to be too complicated and therefore too expensive to do right now. I even toyed with the idea of welding my own headers.

Glad to hear you'll be back in action soon.
