Even though it hasn't been said I think this is the structure already. Granted we don't have actual "leaders", but nonetheless the structure is there.
We do not want to cause a separation of Neloc by having these boundaries. As far as having leaders I don't think appointing leaders is the way to go at least not yet. We certainly have people that make a lot of decisions and organize alot, I think we know who these people are.

To all the comedians:

Everything isn't necesarily a joke or deserves a two word comment to show your sense of a humor (especially to people you haven't met yet and may not know how to take it).

Some people here who've been here for a while actually take the development of NELOC seriously and there's a level of respect that should be shown when someone is voicing a concern. That's the big difference between this forum and a lot of the 'ricer' forums. I know that some of you are new and this is not an attempt to play big brother but the reality is alot of the 'old heads' have been around for a while and weathered through some early storms to form real relationships and friendships. But through it all we've always shown a level of respect toward one another and that's something we will NOT be moving away from. We've 'lost' a lot of great members due to negativity and the tone of the conversations and meets have been changing (and not for the better).

You've heard many times where people have said "NELOC is not about stickers, it's a community" and there is truth behind that. When you see a lot of us making jokes toward one another or posting up crazy pictures, there is history behind that but most of all, a level of respect. Please lets try to continue to maintain that.

To try and put labels to people will only cause ego problems, if everyone does their part equally to help the community it will grow. When our TristateViP Crew started we had a few cancers who were into titles, they bounced started their own ***** and failed while we keep growing using the philosophy it isn't the car its the person and have had a great 2007 and look forward to a better 2008.

for some reason, i feel that is somewhat directed at me for the first comment, though i meant nothing by it (as always) and hope bernie or any of you "old heads" take no offense. hopefully these meets can ease some tension that may be caused by humor not being read over the internet correctly. In no way should comments made by me atleast be taken with disrespect. Although this NELOC thing is great, there's a bunch of unnecessary drama that takes place as well. most have had their fair share, lived, and learned, tis life - but this is also an internet forum with guys/few girls who like cars and that's the main reason for us coming together. The he said/she said stuff should really stop. that should be all of our NELOC-wide resolution this year.

take care.

I read your post earlier Bernie, I just didnt have time to post something. But as for regional leaders, that would be nice for the leaders to help coordinate meets or event between regions (and at home), but I dont think all of us can always depend on them to setup events and meets. Not saying the idea of regional leaders is bad, but its just a huge responsibility when other things are priorities. As oohpapi said, we are a community, I think youre are your own leader when requesting a meet to be done, we all put in our opinions and follow up. Just my thought.
