definately rmeove the rear plate cover and get your plate up front.
Don't ever give a reason for cops to pull you over.

Yes, Cops WILL pull you over for that rear plate cover then they will find other reasons to give you tickets. Especially the last few days of the month when they have to fill their quota.

Yea towards the end of the month, they will pull you over for no reason at all and you will run into random "checkpoints" especially in the city. Parking is a *****, my bumpers look like crap cause people cant park. On my other car, I had my fiberglass bumper crack atleast once a month from people ramming me (no homo) when parking. I got keyed twice, once on my hood and once on my trunk, just dont date local girls and you will be alright. As far as ride height goes, you can go much lower but it takes alot of time getting to know all of the streets. What sucks is that potholes are always popping up out of no where or there is always construction going on. Heres a pic of my ride height so you know it can be done and im all over bushwick BK, college point queens and the city

Like everyone is saying here, remove that rear plate shield and put on your front plates. You will get tickets for it, everyday, all day, parked, moving, it won't matter. And putting it up on the dash is not acceptable either, it's gotta be outside. In terms of ride height, that looks good enough. Know though, that the streets won't be the problem, more like driveways and ramps. Some parking lot entrances are pretty stupid and that's where you'll most likely run into problems. I had a 1" drop on my SC and had problems with centering on my driveway after moving to a new place.

Street parking... thats tough. You have a very nice car. It varies from neighborhood to neighborhood and even then you never know. You don't have any option to rent a garage?

problem is that i don't really have the extra cash to dish out like $2-300 per month for parking.

I went to NYC last week with my ride to get a feel and everyone is right, I can get much lower without any problem, smooth all the way.

I also would like to know which Lexus in NYC has the best service? more in terms of willingness to handle TSIB and renting loaner car out without any hassle.

welcome to nyc...

welcome to parking hell... man, you can have 1 foot in front of you and 1 foot in back of you from other parked cars and they'll still manage to scratch, tap, and mark your bumper. it's stupid. i mean, i had scratches, got the bumper repainted, and all it took was a couple of weeks until it got scratch up again... so... park anywhere, be warned, because people can't park and especially valet parking, they don't care!

but... still... welcome to nyc =)

twkid84,

Think I spotted your ride today on my block. Looks like the same plates with stockers in the front, the ricer look.

Wanted to say wassup but when I got back, your car was no longer there.
