Alright everyone, we've been on a roll this season so lets keep it going. With every meet we've had a great time, always make a scene, and always seem to have one or two new members come out. With that said, it's been suggested that we follow the NY example and have our own monthly meets.

To come up with ideas of where and what we want to do, the senator and I fell it best that we make the idea/decision making process a meet itself versus just posting up. This way we can actually have a meet while at the same time collectively brainstorm on what we would like to do as a monthly gathering. This is also a great opportunity for new/potential members to come out, meet everyone, and throw in their thoughts as well. So to any new CL members out there, def feel free to attend.

So lets meet at Arundel Mills at the usual spot in AACC parking lot July 28th 1:00pm

We'll meet here collect everyone and grab a bite to eat.

Just an idea...

I think a cool monthly meet idea is meeting up at the Capital Center Blvd in Landover, MD on Friday nights. Hec, it could even be bi-weekly, and whoever shows up, shows up.

They have an "old-time" car show their every Friday night (I think) during the summer...and it's a really nice, laid back event.

They have a part of the parking lot roped off, and you donate a few bucks and they let you drive whatever you want inside the roped area and park and chill.

But everyone's allowed to walk around inside the roped area on foot with no fee...the fee is only if you want to be "seen" inside the roped area...and it's a nice way to donate a few bucks...I think I threw like 2 dollars into the bucket when I went, and the lady smiled, and said 'thank you'.

I stopped in one Friday by myself, donated, parked inside the roped area...and had a good time walking around looking at other people's cars and asking questions and stuff. And there was a few Ferrarris there, and some newer Mercedes...it's just a hodge podge of cars, focused on the older stuff.

They welcome all cars. The Vette Club there is strong.

I don't have exact times, but probably from about 7 or 8pm-11pm-ish.

It's a nice place to see car history, a nice place to be around other car enthusiasts, and it's a "family-ish" event so it's a nice, clean event for someone wanting to bring some kids or even a spouse. Many bring folding chairs, and just sit and chill next to their cars with a few drinks and some grub. And it's a shopping area, so there's PLENTY of places for us to eat during or after the event.

It would be cool to have a NELOC section there, showing off some Lexuses...we could be the future, and the old timers can show us "the past". A place where the past meets the present...

Cherp told me about it, so he probably should chime in.

I may come out.. so where is the "usual spot"? Arrundal mills has a big parking lot

 

AACC is right across from Muvico. You can't miss it. Its the only AACC building there.

As do I. We're all busy, so just give it a few days.

 

Only suggestion I have is to make it a bit later maybe around 9ish. I have to work and I know greenvy does as well, I'll be able to come out then.

 

hmmmmmm. Well the day won't change however the time might if the majority need it be a bit later. Lets wait a fews days and see. Def want you guys to come. Is Ki Pod in the same boat?
