Default GM Autoshow in motion driving event

It is coming to NYC, Maryland and other venues this year.. They just wrapped up the event in Detroit Michigan. For those that have never experienced this event, it is Gm's version of Taste of Lexus.. You get to ride and drive the new offerings from GM including the Corvette and Caddy CTS V All for free.. Here is a thread I started last year about this event https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...show+in+motion

Sign up here http://www.grabthekeys.com/ You will get an e-mail with the available dates.. Once I get an e-mail, I can set up a meet date for the NYC crew.. Bill you can attend this meet

I will let you guys know about BMW, Audi, etc later on.

This is definitely a good time. I can't wait til it comes back to Maryland. Hopefully I'll see the same guy that tried to skool in driving. Last year when I got in the CTS-V... one of the GM guys try to give me a crash course on how to drive it. When I explained to him that I push 40,000+lbs of firetrucks to there limits and I've been driving a manual tranny for years he just looked at me and said blah blah... he's heard it all before. So I knew I had to shut him up. With my brother-in-law and friend of ours in the car with myself and the GM guy, I pushed the Caddy to its potential. Going into the huge apex curve I had it sidewayz... my boys in the back had joyful screams of pure adrenaline and excitement. I came out of the turn in control and through the finish line I went. After pulling up the E-brake... The GM guy shaked my hand and said to me, "That is by far some of the best driving I ever seen!!!"

Ha haaa secret meets The dates will be e-mailed to us in the same manner as Taste of Lexus. My guess is June 2007.. Once we get the available dates, then I can set up firm meet dates.. I've always posted up these driving events for years, but folks are more interested in standing around doing the hokey pokey j/k It is all about choices when it comes to meets. Remember the Taste of Lexus event last year? It was just me, you, Dennis, Lextreme, and a handful of other members, along the stuffed animals we had as props lol... We had a blast!!

Looks like driving cones are already in place at the event site in Elmont Long Island.. There are cars and Suv's parked on the course of in the distance, but I could not identify the models.. I noticed a dirt hill course for the Suv's as well..... Stay tuned......

DASHOCKER (and everyone else) could you keep us posted about these events in this thread? This way we can just subscribe to it instead of constantly searching. It's because of CL that I first learned of these events. The wifey and I are now Taste of Lexus/Audi/Mercedes, and yes, even GM, junkies. She'll kill me if I miss this year's Taste of Lexus. Thanks.

Mods: Any other ideas (other than yet another stickey) on keeping news about these events in one place?

JB

EDIT: Shoot, I just noticed this thread is buried in the NELOC forum. I'm in Texas so I never visit this subforum. It's a good general interest thread that should be in Car Chat. Just a thought.
