I was thinking about how we should be more organized and more active this year. So I thought about a monthly meet, maybe the last Saturday or Sunday of the month. I can see it being productive in many ways.

So spill your thoughts and/or suggestions.

You mean to tell me the weekly BBQ's at master Tone's house aint enough for you?? LOL!!!! I think it could be a very good idea, as long as the meetings are productive and not just hang and cruise; and of course people actually show up. What kinds of productivity/organization are you trying to achieve?? Although I am not in NYC, and my be possibly relocating away from MD soon, I am NELOC always at heart. Let me know if there is anything I am able to do to help.

In the sense of building comraderie and a way for all of us to support each other in different aspects regarding our rides (knowledge/mods/maintenance/etc.). It can also build the foundation for those who want to showcase their cars and rep as a club at upcoming car shows.

Plus alot of us mingle here so much that it comes to the point ..why not just hang out together once in a blue.

I think weekly meets is a bit overkill, just because a lot of people have to travel some distance to meet but the monthly meet sounds good. Of course this coming from someone that hasn't been to a meet yet. I'll make the next one for sure.

 

some of us use to meet weekly last year and it got a bit hum drum........ thats why i said monthly. Especially for those that are coming outside of the 5 boros.

 

I'm down for meeting every month..The weekly meet got alittle played out..Be nice to get back into the NELOC swing again..Would the meets be in the night or daytime?

I think we should meet once a month on a saturday afternoon.

I'm all for a monthly meet, but what about those that don't live in NYC. I can't see guys coming up or down to NYC every month. And if a monthly meet ends up becoming mostly NY guys, I think it would almost set another club within NELOC. Thats fine and all, but is there a way this could be more acessible to non NY members.

Maybe an alternative is every state within NELOC have a monthly meet, and every three months have a large meet fir all of NELOC somewhere. That would work out great with LexFest being up north this year. Any way tell me you guys think.
