I went yesterday to get a tune up before i drive down to atlanta today. This was a full tune up, platinum plugs, wires,distributor,air filter, fuel filter. Ran me 350 and 2 hours of my time. End result.... No more rough start up, rough idle, better gas mileage, and the best part the acceleration is rediculous now. I was pulling in every single gear i shifted into. Couple more maintainence things n ill b ready to boost

 

It's amazing how tiny littles things can make such a noticible difference. I remember when I started re-doing the wiring on my car. I didn't even know my headlights could be so bright.

 

Any reason why you got platinums? If im not mistaken, Lexus puts Iridium plugs in from the factory. At least my truck had them and when i got my 60k done they put new irdiums in.

 

Iridium come factory on VVTi motors only (I think)

 

Did they use all OEM parts or generic parts?

 

Most early SCs came with OEM platinums. Don't know when they switched over, but any 5speed SC3 would have had plats as OEM.
