New York City Peeps....Help
Hey guys. I know I have been somewhat lacking on this board lately but between planning a wedding and moving into my new house I have been real busy.
I turn to my fellow enthusiasts for advice on a hotel in NY City. Now I know I have waitied to the last minute for this but I need to know a nice joint right in the heart of everything. My girl wants to go shopping and do the rockafella center and all that good jazz.
Anyone know where I could stay for under 600 a night???
Much appreciation to any helpers out there.

Where are you looking to shop, 5th ave, SOHO ? I have found the Club Quarters to be nice, 25 W 51st st, located in Rockafeller Plaza. I've stayed in and around Time Square quite a bit also, Marriott Marquis is in the center of all the action over there.

I found a room at The Affinia hotel. I can stay that sat night for $543 with taxes and fees. I dont think it is bad at all just want to make sure this joint is nice.

Expect to pay some high prices in that area Jeff. The Thanksgiving holiday won't help either when it comes to making reservations. Perhaps you should look further uptown, and take the NYC subway to Times Square. The NYC subway is a rolling circus by the way

Does Club Quarters still require membership? Lexis11, I have a friend that works for CC and I can help get a reservation if you go that route.
You may also want to try out bryant park for ice skating.

Lexus11 - You might want to take her up to the "Top of the Rock", it's an observation deck on top of Rockafeller Center. The view is great.
